There seems to be a universal outpouring of support after a major tragedy. It would seem natural that kindness would pour out for our own after Hurricane Katrina. What I find totally amazing and wonderful is the outpouring from other countries. Sometime around Christmas I was involved with an online group challenge at in a minute ago hosted by Sharon Boggons making embellished denim jean purses. What fun! The amazing thing is that this group, mostly Australian crazy quilters, came up with a challenge for enough crazy quilt blocks to be put together in quilts and sold on e-bay for Katrina Relief. Well, the blocks are finished, put together by Annie Whitsell and are now on their way to the states via Sharon's husband, Jerry. What beauties they are! So be on the look out on ebay for the Katrina Hurrican Relief Quilts..
