Making your own journal…

My first handmade book. This is my first handmade journal.    I made it last year after finding that I had just the right size mat board left over from framing some photos of our children.  I had no guidelines… I just sort of put it together the way it looked like it should go using left over fabric from the curtains I made for the guest bathroom..grin   Well, since then I have found Danny Gregory's site. What a godsend for anyone wanting to make their own journals! Danny's site is called Every Day Matters.  It is a very uplifting site as well a site for art, drawing and inspiration.  Bookbinding 101 is a page showing step-by-step instruction for making your own journal. Wish I had found this site before I made mine!

  1. Wow, Linda… I’ve somehow lost track of your blog.. and it’s a goldmine!! Must get you back on my “check her out daily” list. I love your handmade journal! While I might make a book cover for a journal, I haven’t gotten the courage to make my own. Will check out Danny’s bookbinding link. (ya gotta love him, don’t you?)

  2. Want to start your private office arms race right now?

I just got my own USB rocket launcherđŸ™‚ Awsome thing.

Plug into your computer and you got a remote controlled office missile launcher with 360 degrees horizontal and 45 degree vertival rotation with a range of more than 6 meters – which gives you a coverage of 113 square meters round your workplace.
You can get the gadget here: http://tinyurl.com/2qul3c

Check out the video they have on the page.

    Cheers
