This is a section of embellishment I have put on a practice block that I started way back in the winter of last year. Fargo roses are one of my favorite embellishments, and I have just learned how to make them even better.. grin Have a look at the short tutorial that Julia has posted on her blog Camille’s Place. Don’t you just love the Fargo rose topiary?
Another embellishment that I love, but have not tried yet, is the use of crayons to give soft color to embroidered pieces. Pam Kellogg of Kitty and Me Designs has posted the tutorial for how to do this technique. The photo is of a doorknocker that she has done using this technique. Clicking on the photo will take you to her Flickr site where you can not only see this photo larger, but much more of her lovely design work and handwork. Thanks, Pam, for permission to link and use the photo!
