Toothbrush Rugs

Have you ever heard of a “toothbrush rug”?  I never had until today.  According to what I found, toothbrush rugs were made using an old toothbrush that had the bristle end cut off and filed into a smooth oval shape.  The other end had a hole drilled into it that was big enough to accept and hold rag strips.  This “toothbrush needle” was then used to form the rugs out of strips of cloth. has a tutorial on how to make one…  Aunt Philly’s Toothbrush Rugs has instructional videos, kits, toothbrush needles and completed rugs for sale.  Wow!  Have a look…
