Toothbrush Rugs

Have you ever heard of a “toothbrush rug”?  I never had until today.  According to what I found, toothbrush rugs were made using an old toothbrush that had the bristle end cut off and filed into a smooth oval shape.  The other end had a hole drilled into it that was big enough to accept and hold rag strips.  This “toothbrush needle” was then used to form the rugs out of strips of cloth.  HGTV.com has a tutorial on how to make one…  Aunt Philly’s Toothbrush Rugs has instructional videos, kits, toothbrush needles and completed rugs for sale.  Wow!  Have a look…
